Carter King Takes Down PokerStars Sunday Million
Carter “ckingusc” has beefed up his already glowing poker resume. After winning the PokerStars’ 2008 World Championship of Online Poker Main Event, King won the Sunday Million after arriving at the final table second in chips. King had to outlast 7,905 other participants to take down the $193,697 prize. The sheer number of participants pumped the prize pool to $1,599,800 and 1,170 players ended up in the money.

Antonius Gains Ground in “durrr Challenge”
Finally, the two pros have resumed their marathon match after a fifteen-day break. Tom “durrr” Dwan and Patrik Antonius played $200-$400 pot-limit Omaha last Monday evening and ended up playing 914 hands in three hours. Antonius who has been trailing Dwan for over $140,000 has narrowed the gap by winning $87,611 during the last match. However, it’s still anyone’s game as the two have only played 5,086 of the 50,000 required hands.

FPT Champ Kent Del Rosario Wins His 2nd Title and the P3,000,000 Top Prize.

Final Table came at around 6pm yesterday after the bubble was burst by Aljarreau Galang who busted in 10th place. Needless to say, the action was intense from the start. Two pocket aces were cracked by KQ and JJ sending two players to the rail.

The 45 players who returned to day2 of The Perfect 10 tournament wasted no time in starting the action, with one player busting out on the very first hand. Several players who started the day short stacked also tried to make their moves but got eliminated.
Day 1B Wraps Up, Day 2 starts with 85 players
An action packed Day 1B started with 165 players yesterday, making the total number of players at 333, another record-breaking milestone for The Metro, and for Philippine poker. It is so far the biggest turnout for ANY local poker tournament ever.
