Brandon Cantu was chip leader coming into the final table of Event # 48 in the 2009 World Series of Poker, the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. Despite strong competition versus some of the most skilled poker players, he bucked the odds and emerged victorious. To achieve this feat, he had to come from behind to pull a victory versus another second-bracelet seeker Lee Watkinson.

Needle King Wins WSOP 2009 LHE Event #38
Sporting a huge chip lead at the final table, it was Marc “Needle King” Naalden’s event to lose. True enough, he conquered the final table with ease and as a result of his masterful performance, he brings home his very first WSOP gold bracelet courtesy of Event #38, the $2,000 Limit Hold’em event at the 2009 World Series of Poker.
Greg Mueller Wins 2009 WSOP $10,000 World Championship LHE
After a grueling three days, Greg “FBT” Mueller finally wasted the competition to win the 2009 World Series of Poker Event #33, the $10,000 World Championship Limit Hold’em. Kudos to Greg who survived a tough final table and outlast seasoned poker professionals, including Chad Brown and Jennifer Harman (who busted with $41,040 in 12th place).

Rolande de Wolfe Captures “Triple Crown” with Win at WSOP Event ##27
Rolande de Wolfe has made poker history. Thanks to his win at Event #27 of the 2009 WSOP $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tournament, he grabbed his very first WSOP bracelet and has become one of only two players to win what is dubbed the “Triple Crown.” Along with Gavin Griffin, de Wolfe now holds the distinction of winning EPT, WSOP and WPT titles.
