The Metro Hi-5 Breaks all records in Philippine poker, Prize pool to exceed P6,000,000!

Day 1A wrapped up yesterday with The Metro Card Club filled to capacity, fielding 325 poker players in what will be the biggest tournament ever to date. Dozens of players were turned down and told to return for Day 1B to get a chance at what will now be a prize pool of over Six Million pesos. As of this writing, there are already 317 pre-registered players for Day 1B.

Several notable players feel victim to the huge field and failed to make the cut for Day 2. The mix of players from online qualifiers, home game players, and poker veterans turned out to be pretty tough to manage although there were also veteran poker players who did give a strong showing including FPT 1 final table finishers Luis Carballo and Jun Amito, Poker Pros Isaac Mizrachi and of course our World Series of Poker Bracelet winner Isaac Galazan.
