Italian Books First-Time IPT Win

The PokerStars Italian Poker Tour booked another successful stop in San Remo this week.

IPT San Remo winner Antonio Caponnetto.

The €2,000+€200 IPT San Remo main event drew 342 players to the Mediterranean coast in north-western Italy, creating an impressive €663,420 prize pool.

In the end, Italian Antonio Caponnetto took down the title and €170,000 first place prize defeating Riccardo Lacchinelli heads up.

The win marked Caponnetto’s first major live tournament score.

The next stop on the PokerStars IPT’s second Season in Campione d’Italia Jan. 20-24.
