Newport Beach, California’s Christopher DeMaci holds the overnight lead heading into Day 4 at the Bicycle Casino with 1.4 million chips more than his nearest competitor.
However, experienced players like Team PokerStars Pro and PokerListings blogger Jason Mercier, 2006 WSOP Main Event third-place finisher Michael Binger and 2006 WPT Mandalay Bay winner Joe Tehan are all in the top ten.
Canadian Team PokerStars Pro Anh Van Nguyen, Team Online Pro George Lind and 2010 WSOP Main Event 15th-place finisher Matt Affleck are all still in contention.
Those who made the money but busted on Day 3 included Mike Sowers, Ty Reiman, Chris Klodnicki, Eric “Sheets” Haber, Gavin Griffin, Phil Laak, Christina Lindley and NAPT Venetian Champion Tom Marchese.
All 19 players are guaranteed at least $18,000 with $725,000 reserved for first.
They will play down to a final table of eight at the Bike Tuesday before returning to crown a champion Wednesday.
