Shchemelev Wins Half a Million in Seven Days
October 29, 2012
Russian banker Vladimir “GVOZDIKA55” Shchemelev has been crushing the high-stakes games on PokerStars this week and added another $200k in profit last night.
Shchemelev is now up $562k in the last seven days on the site and is making a late charge to the top of the online-profit charts.
Last night Shchemelev had no problem dominating the high-stakes PLO-8 games against opponents Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Ville Wahlbeck and Chung Ho.
Wahlbeck was the biggest victim as he dumped $129k. It wasn’t a great night for Isildur1 either as he lost $70k in 3,905 hands.
Shades of 2010 WSOP as Shchemelev Cleans Up
Shchemelev is perhaps most well-known for his extraordinary run in the 2010 WSOP where he made four final tables including second in the $50k Players Championship to win a combined total of well over $1 million.
The St. Petersburg-native was not the only big winner last night as MUSTAFABET added $114k in profit.
FakeLove888, the rumored account of Patrik Antonius, also recorded $86k in profit.
According to hsdb.com, Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky has moved into top place in profit this year with an astounding $2.7 million in 2012.
The unidentified Zypherin account is still the biggest loser with $3.1 million in damage but new Full Tilt Poker “Professional” Isildur1 has the dubious honor of being second.
The former PokerStars pro has a lost a total of $2.5 million on PokerStars this year.
