Top 5 Losers
April 26, 2011
1. FishosaurusREX: -$2 million
FishosaurusREX certainly lived up to his namesake of being a giant fish in the high-stakes games in February.
The still-unidentified player dumped $2 million into the high-stakes games on Full Tilt, seemingly losing to everyone he played.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the FishosaurusREX account disappear from the high-stakes games for some time.
Patrik Antonius
2. Patrik Antonius: -$1 million
Online killer Patrik Antonius lost $1 million in February, which was likely a huge surprise to his devoted online following.
Last month Antonius won $835k so maybe he’s just trying to give new meaning to the phrase, “You win some, you lose some.”
3. UarePileous: -$961k
UarePileous is another account that is not very well known but took a serious beating in February.
UarePileous suffered some serious losses against Gus Hansen, which just goes to show the Great Dane is apparently not someone you want to trifle with in 2011.
4. David Oppenheim: -$660k
Veteran live cash-game player David Oppenheim has proven he can play online poker by winning millions in 2009 and 2010 but this year hasn’t been as kind.
He lost $660k in February and is now down a total of $440k. Good thing he placed third in the WSOP Players Championship last year for $603k.
5. Cadillac1944: -$460k
2011 has been an unmitigated disaster for cadillac1944. The only player to make the “five biggest losers” list in January and February, cadillac1944 is now down over $1.8 million this year.
The high stakes Limit specialist is going to have to seriously turn things around if he wants to make it into the black this year.
Honorable mention: Tom “durrrr” Dwan -$443k
Tom “durrrr” Dwan seemed almost bored with the online games that were available in February and only played two thousand hands. He lost $443k in those hands.
