When at the Felt, Don’t Be Too Consistent

Another thing to remember is that players are trying to identify you as a certain type of player. They are trying to figure out if you’re loose-aggressive, tight aggressive or weak passive. You can use this perception to your advantage by playing a little differently each time.

Switch up your play. Bluff when other poker players have identified you as extremely tight. Pretend to bluff when you have a solid hand after displaying a loose-aggressive image on the table. Don’t be too flamboyant so people don’t catch on immediately. Not only will you be able to disguise your true nature at the table, you’ll be able to maximize your earnings.
