Jas11 Wins $300,000 at FTOPS XII Event

With 1,349 players signing up for the $1,000+$60 No Limit Hold’em 6-Max Tournament and $300,000 in stake for first place, FTOPS XII Event was certain to be an online poker bloodbath. When the dust cleared, Jas11 emerged on top despite going against several poker notables for a huge payday.
The six players going into the final table were GotURead with 2,811,645 in chips, Stephen “stevie444” Chidwick with 1,967,861, bonya37 with 1,203,786, Jas11 with 1,148,548, KiKaMo with 682,212 and Josh “doctorhowser” Norris with 279,948. But it wasn’t doctorhowseer who got eliminated first as he doubled up against GotURead on the very first hand. Instead, it was Stevie444 who was sent home when he came up against GotURead. Stevie444 raised to 84,630 and was re-raised by GotURead. Stevie444 pushed for his remaining chips and was called by GotURead who was holding Queens. Stevie444 didn’t get lucky with his pocket 8s and he was sent home in sixth place with $49,500.
Doctorhowser was the next to bust when he pushed all-in with his A-Q for 604,396 in chips after KiKaMo raised to 120,000. KiKaMo called doctorhowser’s All-In with A-K. The board was no help to doctorhowser and he went to rail with $72,750 for fifth place.
KiKaMo’s victory was short-lived when he went home with $105,000 for fourth place. GotURead raised 140,000 and was called by Jas11. KiKaMo pushed with 1,102,590 and was called. Jas11 folded to KiKaMo’s Pocket Queens and GotURead’s Ah-Jh. Unfortunately for KiKaMo, the board was 2h-4s-Ad-5h-8d.
At the 40,000/80,000/10,000 level, a double elimination brought the tournament to a dramatic end. Jas11 was in the lead with 3,445,527 in chips, GotURead was close behind with 2,986,073 while bonya37 was bringing up the rear with 1,662,400.
Bonya37 pushed All-In holding Ac-Qc after Jas11 raised to 200,000 from the button. GotURead shoved All-In as well with Ad-Kd. Jas11 called both All-Ins showing Pocket Jacks. The board ran out 9d-10c-6h-3c-9h, giving Jas11 the win. For his respectable third place finish, Bonya37 takes home $138,300. GotURead added a whopping $198,000 to his bankroll for his second place finish.
