Kirby Te Eliminated in 8th Place (US $26,600)
March 26, 2010
The only Filipino in the final table was eliminated through a big hand that cost him 90% of his chips and then being forced to go all-in with Qh-5h vs A-T, with A-T making a full house.

The big hand came when Terrence Chan raised Pre-flop and Kirby called. The flop was Kc-7d-9d. Terrence bet, Kirby Raised, and Terrence went all-in, which Kibry quickly called with Bottom set, showing pocket 7′s. Terrence showed his big draw with Qd-Jd. With the crowd rooting for Kibry shouting “Pair the board!”, a heartbreaking 10 of diamonds came on the turn, giving Terrence a flush. No help on the River and Kirby was sent to the rail for an 8th place finish and $26,000, his biggest cash ever after winning P880,000 in FPT2.
Kirby is a representative of The Metro Card Club Davao and made us proud once again showing how Filipino poker players can compete among the best in Asia and the world.
Congratulations Kirby Te, you make us proud to be carrying The Metro’s name!
