METRO MAIN EVENT Reaches 120 players, Prize Pool Hits P3.6 Million!

The Metro Main Event kicked off today with the player cap being exceeded and the prize pool reaching the 3.6 Million peso mark! The Metro Card Club was packed with 120 players hoping to prove their poker skills against the best players in the country in the what is turning out to be the best local tournament our poker community has ever seen.
Pokerstars and their crew pulled out all stops and transformed the 2nd floor of the Metro Card Club into a TV poker production set, complete with the TV table with lipstick cameras and a full production crew. This is in preparation for the local poker TV show for the Filipino Poker Tour. Another first for the local poker community thanks to Pokerstars and of course, The Metro.
It is currently level 6 into the tournament with 86 players still in, although several big names have already bowed out of the tournament early. 9 tables left, with the action just heating up. Stay tuned here for more updates until the Champion is crowned tomorrow!
