Rizzie Galan Wins The Second Main Event Satellite (P8,000 overlay)

About 50 players showed up this time in the 2nd METRO MAIN EVENT P500 buy-in satellite tournament, making a 25,000 pot which meant there was an P8,000 overlay from The Metro. Surprisingly, several veteran poker players decided to join the tournament this time, taking a shot at the free seat up for grabs. Metro75 champion Barb Galan and WSOP cash winner Neil Arce, and WSOP participant and tournament rounder Alan Escano were among the dozens of poker players who joined the game.
Final table came and it was intense action for the winner-take-all format as usual. Rizzie Galan, who plays $20-$40 NL cash games back in her hometown in Canada and is also the sister-in-law of Barb Galan, took the chip lead when it was down to 8 players. She never looked back after that and went into a head to head with Luis Carballo, a well-known figure in the poker community for being a very aggressive cash game player and consistent
final table finisher in local tournaments. After a short heads-up match with Luis, Rizzie emerged victorious and earned her P33,000 seat to the 3 Million Guaranteed tournament for a measly price of500 pesos!
Congratulations to Rizzie Galan! It will feel good to play that 3 million tournament knowing your seat was just bought for P500!
