Sherwin Alda Wins Million Rush To The APT
August 25, 2010

The Metro Card Club A Million Rush to the APT is finally over. After 5 days and 491 players, one man was left standing and not surprisingly, or surprisingly it was the chip leader from Day 1, Sherwin Alda, a casual cash game player who decided to join the tournament because of its low buy-in and the possibility to get a $2,700 seat at the APT for only Php3,000. The Final Table consisted mostly of new players who have played for only a year or so. The second place went to Jason Ong who initially didn’t even intend to play the tournament. Emmanuel Segismundo, who seemed to be the most feared because of his aggression and the most promising ended at 3rd place. Luis Bernardo, a professional poker player, finished in 4th place. All four players received a cash prize and a seat to the upcoming major tournament, the Asian Poker Tour, which is happening this month.
