The Metro Anniversary Special Day 1A Officially Over
December 11, 2009

A total of 157 players took the felt but only 59 managed to survive a grueling 10 one-hour levels at the start of the Filipino Poker Tour 11-The Metro Anniversary Special P10-Million Guaranteed Tournament Thursday at the no.1 card room in Asia.
The field maybe well below the cap – a usual for any tournament with multiple Day1s though – but the action was as intense, as all runners jockeyed for position – and for every chip – right after TD Bryan Malantic shouted the most exciting words in poker “shuffle up and deal!”.
Among those who took their first shot at the prestigious FPT title and the P3-million – at least – top purse that goes with it were two-time FPT champion Kent del Rosario, FPT 10-Hi-5 titlist Vic de Guzman, Metro Card Club top honcho Nick Galan, APPT Cebu finalist Mark Pagsuyuin, top lady player Sunshine Samson, former billiards champion Alex Pagulayan and former Miss Earth Priscilla Meirelles.
All of them though hit the rail one after another during the course of play, ceding the spotlight lesser-known players led by Ricky Sarmiento, who chipped up big late in the day to catapult himself as the chip leader with 192,600. He was followed by Bernard BenSimon with 161,300.
Rounding up the top 10 were Vince Ermita (145,800), Rosh Lalwani (143,800), Kim Tae Hyung (123,800), Perry Deen (108,300), Amalia Santos (104,300), Gia Guison (101,800), Felimon Quilas (100,300) and Randy Cireneo (99,800).
Two more Day 1s are slated and both are expected to have players filling up all the available seats at the Metro Card Club.
All the Day 1 survivors will converge on Sunday and they will play down to the final table.

Solid website. I received a great deal of great data. I?ve been retaining an eye on this engineering for awhile. It is fascinating how it retains varying, however a few of the core components remain the same. Have you seen a lot alter given that Yahoo made their latest acquisition in the field?
