The METRO Hosts UNO Magazine’s Poker Event

Last December 15, The Metro hosted the first of many UNO Poker Events to come. The P1,100 buy-in freezout tournament gave everyone a chance to get to play with UNO girls who also love the game of poker! Although the girls ultimately did not make it due to various other obligations like TV tapings and photo shoots, the Metro players still had a great time and played some serious poker.

Sponsors UNO magazine and WEST cigarettes gave away gift packs to the players who busted out first, and to the unlucky bubble player which was 7th place. 40 players showed up and gave some good poker action all the way to the final table, which was full of poker veterans like Ross Del Rosario, Robinson Yap, Philip Chua, Paul Le, Barb Galan, and Rizzie Galan to name a few. Rizzie was unlucky enough to bubble out, and the action continued until it was down to Ross, Philip, and Cesar Filart. Philip’s experience in poker tournaments helped him outlast Ross in heads up, and he was declared the winner of the first UNO poker event. He received over P15,000 in cash plus a gift pack and anUNO Military dog tag accessory!
