Good news for all the local Poker players! Pokerstars has officially launched the Online satellites for The METRO MAIN EVENT! 11 seats will be given away for FREE from Jan.14-24 on Pokerstars.net, plus FIVE more guaranteed seats on a last chance $1 rebuy tournament on Jan.25 on POKERSTARS.COM! That’s 16 seats up for grabs people! What’s more, the MAIN EVENT will be the first stop of a much much bigger series of tournaments called The Filipino Poker Tour. As you all know by now, the biggest Filipino-created poker event in the history of our country is drawing very near. The Metro Main Event, slated on January 26 and 27 at the Metro Card Club in Metrowalk, Meralco Avenue, boasts a whopping record guarantee of 3 MILLION PESOS!
But what you probably don’t know is that the tournament just got bigger. The Metro Main Event is now also the first stop of the FILIPINO POKER TOUR, a breathtaking brand new TV show presented by PokerStars.com specifically to televise the talents of the Filipino to be aired all over the Phlippines! That’s right, the event will be having featured tables and a grand final table to showcase the skills of the local players on television. This assures that the champion of of the Metro Main Event and the first-ever FPT will walk away a star!
As always, we at PokerStars want to give everybody a better chance at participating in this momentous affair. So we’ve prepared two easy and extremely advantageous ways for you to qualify online.
1. The 11 Daily Freerolls: From Jan. 14-24, we will be having satellite freerolls on PokerStars.NET where one winner EVERYDAY will be given a free seat to the Metro Main Event. We’re not kidding. yes anybody can join! just register at the door, or pre register by calling us or emailing your pre-registration. more instructions on how to pre register by tomorrow, jan 14.
Cannot find details of satellites on either pokerstats.net or .com any advice please would be welcome. Thank you
so far we’ve had two days of pokerstars freerolls, the first day having 112 players and the second day having 211! Unfortunately, from what other players are saying, pokerstars is not accepting non-philippine based addresses in the accounts. The satellites are apparently for Filipino or philippine based accounts.
