THE METRO SPECIAL HITS 180 PLAYERS! Female Player From Baguio Bags First Place

With a surprise announcement last Thrusday night, The Metro Management decided to give a 350K guaranteed tournament witha 2k ONLY buy-in the very next day. What many thought would be a big overlay given the 24-hour notice turned out to be one of the best tournaments we’ve had since the Perfect 10!
Great poker players of course came to play, and the action was fast paced! By midnight, 180 players were down to 27. Final table came shortly thereafter, with several veterans like Kent Del Rosario, two-time FPT Champion and Jojo Tech, The Metro Davao’s most recent 1Million Champion. But the champions would bow out early, and the field was left with eager players vying for the P100,000 first place prize and the honor of being the first Metro Special champion. It ultimately came down to an all-female heads-up battle between Rina Bautista and Marie Sabel Dy, another first for our poker community! Rina Bautista, who is also the sister of Derek Bautista (Philippine Poker Tour Champion), ultimately came out victorious and bagged the top prize of 100,000 plus a seat to the upcoming METRO HI-5.
