Updates on the Metro Main Event

We have less than 2 weeks to go before the biggest poker event kicks off this Jan.26! So far, Pokerstars has given away 3 seats in their weekly freerolls (check out the previous post for more info), and satellites have also been running at least twice a week at The Metro. It will be a momentous event for the local poker scene for sure!
Now for some important updates, The Metro Main Event was slated to start Day One at 5pm on Jan.26, but due to the nature of the structure (WSOP Main Event Format), we estimated that the tournament might end up finishing day one at 5am! Considering this, we have decided to move the start of the tournament to 2pm on Jan.26 for day one, to play for 12 hours or down to 2 tables, whichever comes first. Day Two will likewise start at 2pm on Jan.27, to play until we have a winner.
Also, we will be posting the entire tournament format and payout structure here at the metro website very soon, so stay tuned and watch out for that.
i’ve cleared my schedule for this already…
but my wallet might get cleared too for the buy-in… lol…
still haven’t had success in the online satellites and dont have time to go to the live satellites…
maybe i’ll just grind it out this weekend at the metro and hope to get that 33k…
